a post about post

post

This is long overdue, but I just wanted to say a big thank you to Thereza for the lovely package she sent me as part of her giveaway (there are better photos on her blog).

Magnets & booklets & illustrations galore. It's all so lovely, and a physical reminder of why I love to follow her blog.

Thanks once again Thereza!

pay it forward packages

My pay it forward packages have now all been sent out (and have arrived at their destinations).
Here's a picture of the bundles i sent out to Lucy, Sally-Ann and Sarah.

They each contained the following handmade items:
• a scrabble tile magnet
• a plastic bag holder (handy for recycling)
• a looped flower brooch (made with a vintage loom i picked up at a flea market)
• a gift card with one of my illustrations

I really enjoyed putting the items together for this challenge and hope people continue to 'pay it forward' as it is such a fun idea.

thank you very kindly

as promised here are some pictures of the wonderful pay it forward packaged i received last week from sue over at sooziebee.

the package included a beautiful stitched card and framed illustration - thanks again sue. (and i'm not sure if i'll ever get around to sending the card as i think i'd rather keep it for myself!)

yesterday i went for tea with my friend eleanor and we ended up jumping on the train to Lewes to visit The Old Needlemakers, which has a vintage flea market full to the brim of lovely finds (and there was a half price sale on too!). I picked up this hair clip for 50p - how very cheap.

and here's a picture of the pile of crocheted granny squares i am gradually accumulating - soon i'll have made enough for a blanket! I'll just have to wait for winter to come around again then, as I'm pretty sure the summer is almost here - splendid.

poor donkey

today my poor little donkey ornament jumped off the shelf and broke his leg

luckily i was on hand to glue him (not very precisely) back together

(and to give him some carrots to cheer him up)

in other news i've been getting my swap packages ready and my strawberry themed parcel for the pack it up small swap is ready to go.
here are some bits and pieces from the bundle:

i hope my partner likes it.
